The 21st Session of Codex Committee on Fats and Oil will be held on Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on 16 -20 February 2009. The Committee will consider subject matters that are in several steps of Codex’s consideration including:
· Draft Amendment to the Standard for Named Vegetable Oils: inclusion of Rice Bran
Oil Code of Practice for the Storage and Transport of Edible Fats and Oils in Bulk
· Proposed Draft Amendment to the Standard for Named Vegetable Oils Amendment to Total
Carotenoids in Unbleached Palm Oil
· Proposed Draft Amendments to the Standard for Named Vegetable Oils: Palm Kernel
Stearin and Palm Kernel Olein
· Proposed Draft Amendment to the Standard for Olive Oils and Olive Pomace Oils:
Linolenic Acid Level
· Composition and Naming of Fatty Acid Modified Vegetable Oils
