The 13^th Meeting of the Expert Working Group on Harmonisation of Maximum Residue Limits (EWG-MRLs) of Pesticides among ASEAN Countries was held on 13 – 15 January 2009 in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The Meeting was attended by representatives from ASEAN Countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The representative from the ASEAN Secretariat also attended the meeting.

After consideration on the Codex MRLs and residue trial data, the meeting agreed to recommend the list of proposed MRLs for five (5) pesticides: carbendazim (grapes and oranges), chlorpyrifos (longans and litchi), phosalone (durian) and ethion (pummelo) for consideration as ASEAN Harmonised MRLs.
